                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY
                   CLOSURE OF MARKET STREET, MORE PARTICULARLY
                   DESCRIBED HEREIN, ON WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 1,
                   1993, WITH WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 8, 1993 AS
                   THE RAINOUT DATE, FROM 9:00 A.M. TO 3:00
                   P.M. FOR THE PRESENTATION OF "COMBINED
                   FEDERAL CAMPAIGN-UNITED FUND" SPONSORED BY
                   THE TENNESSEE VALLEY AUTHORITY, UNDER
                   CERTAIN CONDITIONS DESCRIBED HEREIN.
                  
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby authorized 
the
       temporary closing of Market Street between 12th Street and 11th
       Street on Wednesday, September 1, 1993, with Wednesday, September 

       8, 1993 as the rainout date, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for the
       presentation of "Combined Federal Campaign-United Fund" sponsored 

       by the Tennessee Valley Authority.  The sponsors are responsible
       for the installation and removal of all traffic control devices
       (such as cones, barricades, signs, etc.) in accordance with the
       traffic control plan attached hereto and shall provide at all
       times, an access lane for emergency vehicles.
